- India: Matches the form of the well-known Carnatic Ragam Keeravani (melakarta scale #21), popular amongst South Indian composers for several centuries. Also borrowed into Northern Hindustani music over the past few generations (as ‘Kirwani’), chiefly via the efforts of sitar icon Ravi Shankar.
